Last night was the perfect night for a great game. NC State did a great job holding off Maryland, and coming up for the win by 5 points (79 to 74). C.J Leslie was the man of the match with 20 points, and 11 rebounds for State. Scott Wood scored 19 points, trailing just behind Leslie, and Lorenzo Brown added 11 for the Wolfpack .
Towards the end of the second half, NC State was trying to play the clock. They passed the ball great, and allowed the shot clock to run down until only seconds were left. Maryland retaillated by continuously fouling State players; however, the refs were so bad most of the time they didn't even notice. The game ended with NC State's Leslie shooting 2 freethrows and icing the win for NC State. In all the game was awesome, and a fantastic first ACC win for the Wolfpack.

Study Skills for Exams
Exams are coming up, and I plan to study every night to prepare for them. For Theater Arts 1, I have to memorize a monologue, so that will take a lot of practice. Then for World History, I have a 200 multiple choice test I have to make a 150 or better on. Next I have a Study Skills exam, which involves everything we've learned over the semester, and gives me time to study for my EOC for 4th period. 4th period, I have an English EOC that counts as 25% of my grade. This is a major exam and the only one I'm so stressed about.
Another way, besides studying every night, that works for me is cramming the night before. I know it sounds like a really bad habit, but for some reason my brain functions in a way that cramming information in there hours or even minutes before stays there! Hopefully by doing both types of studying though I will ace my exams, and finish this semester with A's.

New Years Resolution
My New Years Resolution is split up into three different sections. Academic, which involves my schoolwork, and understanding. Physical which involves soccer, and staying in shape. Then finally, spiritual, which is my plan to become more in touch with God. I hope to master all three sections by the end of the year, and be happy of my success.
My academic goal for this year is to maintain all A's, or an A, B average. By studying hard, and doing well on the exams coming up, I know that this goal is reachable and possible. My physical goal for this year is to stay in great shape, and be prepared for soccer in the Fall.By playing that new soccer sport I was talking about in my last post, and running once a week, this can be an easy goal. My last goal is to become more spiritual, and in touch with God. I hope to achieve this goal by reading a new devotion book I got for Christmas each night, and spending time to meditate with Him.

New Soccer Sport
Recently I've started playing a game called "Footsaw," (that's not really how you spell it, but I'm not really sure how to do that U thing.) Anyways, it is a game that you play on a court, kind of like basketball but with feet. The game moves at a faster pace, and the ball is a size 4 and weighted, meaning, you can't kick it up as easy. It causes players to move fast, pass often, and develop good ball skills. I went and played on Sunday, and I'm excited to start playing in a league in January.

Holiday Traditions
- The day after Christmas my family always goes shopping. It started about two years ago, when my family forgot to get some gifts and decided to get them the day after. This led to us seeing some pretty amazing deals, and thus leading to us now going every year.
2. Another Holiday Tradition we have in my family is going to the movies on New Year's Eve. A lot of great movies come out over the holidays, and we never find time to go see them, so on New Year's Eve we always go to see our favorite.
